How far in advance can I book my wedding?

Typically, we are able to book your ceremony as early as 9-12 months in advance, depending on your desired date, the size of your group, and desired ceremony site.

Is a deposit required?

For an all-inclusive package or site fee, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 45 days prior to your ceremony. We prefer personal checks as payment, but also accept major credit cards.

Are there discounted room rates for members of the wedding party and guests if they want to stay at the resort?

Yes, room blocks and special rates can be arranged for 10 guest rooms or more through the hotel’s reservation department. Room rates depend on availability, as well as seasonality. All hotel rooms and room blocks must be arranged directly through the hotel.

What if it rains?

We always secure a backup banquet room inside the resort to accommodate your wedding and guests, in case of bad weather.

Do I have to be a guest of the WDW Swan and Dolphin to get married there?

No, you do not have to be a guest staying at the resort. However, it is more convenient and less stressful for the bridal party and guests to be in one location on the wedding day.

If I book a wedding, do I have to book a reception at the hotel?

No, you may have just your ceremony at the hotel without being required to book any kind of reception, although the Swan offers many post-ceremony and reception dining options! Ask your planner for details.

Is there a limit to the number of guests we can invite?

No, we do not limit the number of wedding guests you are allowed.

Will there be an area to get dressed on the day of the wedding?

Hospitality suites are not included in the ceremony site fee or ceremony packages. Couples are encouraged to book a room at the resort for a stress-free wedding day experience.

Is there a fee for parking at the WDW Swan and Dolphin?

Yes, the on-site parking fees are $20 for self parking, and $28 for valet (fee does not include tax).

How much advance notice is needed for booking a wedding ceremony or reception at the WDW Swan and Dolphin?

We recommend a one week minimum for Ceremonies and a two month minimum for Receptions. We are capable of handling last-minute requests, subject to space and staff availability. Holidays and weekends may be difficult to accommodate without sufficient notice.

What is the best time of day for a ceremony?

The best time of day to hold a ceremony is early to mid-morning and late afternoon (most comfortable temperature and lighting for outdoor photos). However, we are happy to accommodate any time preference (based on availability).

No, tickets and discounts for admission to any of the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks and attractions are not included in the wedding packages.

Do we need a marriage license?

Yes. Florida law dictates the conditions for marriage license issuance and the fees. The Clerk of Courts provides an information sheet to help you understand the requirements of the law and to answer questions which are frequently asked.
